Your next step
to better grow Vegs

Why a continuous learning culture?

When you play a computer game (yep, all Geeks here), you have to follow a system that moves you from on level to the next. That's how you develop the skills to master the next level.
Instead, with the flood of information around us, it seems our learning is random and without a sequence at work.

What you see in the diagram here is the next step sequence I will get you to follow, based on what you want to achieve growing better, more nutritious Vegs.

Your best next step now? Read the information below and you'll see why it's slow and incremental, designed to get you to acquire practical skills and apply them!

First - a baseline

Take the Garden Audit: Be like our bunny Joey, before taking the next step it's worth pausing and considering what's around you: what space you have and how much time you want to put towards gardening. I'll help you do just that; it's a quick garden

Step #1: The Garden Audit

Have you got started growing vegs already and got stuck, only to give up?

Be like our bunny Joey, before taking the next step it's worth pausing and considering what's around you: what space you have and how much time you want to put towards gardening. I'll help you do just that; it's a quick garden audit and we'll discuss your own situation and needs (and we get to know each other a bit better too!).

The Garden Audit will help you quickly understand your own context (you might not even have a garden yet!) and what you want to achieve.

It's a system that is based on incrementally developing your skills to grow more of your own food, and it dramatically accelerates your learning of skills for life and will reward you with tons of Vegs!

Your Veg Geek Journey starts here!

Just a bit Geeky…

Step #2: I help you better grow more Vegs, with practical advice that works for you and your own situation.

Where do I start? I'll help you decide.

That's the most frequent question when it comes to start growing Vegs. And while it's a valid point, it's not just the mechanics of starting up that matter – but also the reason why; let's get you started growing Vegs, even if you don't have a garden!

Choose below what works best for you (or as advised in our conversation in the Garden Audit!):

Ok, this next one is Ultra-Geeky.

Step #3: Grow Vegs all year round, with the Aquaponics Smart Greenhouse
(and even fish you can eat if you want!)

This is where Veg Geeks feel safe, amongst the Geekiest of all!
And if you aren't a Geek yet, you'll become one once you get hooked on this!

If you have a patio, or a backyard big enough for a new greenhouse, or even an existing greenhouse (min 3m x 4m), I'll help you grow even more Vegs by making the most of that great asset. Most greenhouses are under-used for nearly half of the year, and that's just such a wasted opportunity!

We are close to a crisis point with climate change and our current crazy food production systems try to satisfy yet more humans with food shipped across the world, while depleting our soils and leaching yet more chemicals into scarce water reserves. It really is madness.
Similarly to spearfishing – don't worry you won't need to get wet in this case! – I want to introduce you to a little known (in UK in particular) sustainable, organic way of growing Vegs and fish (which you can eat if you want - or if you are Vegan, keep them as your own Gardeners Troops) in a system that dramatically saves water consumption (90% less) and delivers up to 10x more Vegs in smaller space – all organic of course.

While I'm all for Geeky pleasures, Aquaponics is still a new technology and up to now its application has resulted in DIY systems that are functional but frankly don't look great and too fiddly – and that won't help drive its mainstream adoption.

Introducing you to the Aquaponics Smart Greenhouse:
it looks beautiful. and works beautifully.

  • Access what I've learned on Aquaponics to build your own system - it will look amazing in your garden too and certainly will be talking point!

  • Built with Open-Source technology, so very low cost – don't worry, I'll guide you!

  • Access to all the techniques and strategies needed.

  • I know it can be daunting at first and you won’t want to stress or kill your fish: I’ll be here to help anytime when you have questions (Whatsapp group)

  • I'll introduce you to other Aquaponics Geeks

  • If you are in the area, we can meet-up, just contact me!

Aquaponics Smart Greenhouses are for a small group of people who want to start changing our food systems. It's so exciting (some might say Geeky!) but I also want to make sure you succeed so I won't encourage you if it doesn't seem right for you.
But if you are really interested, I'll be there!

One more thing. Get the secret hacks.

Step #4: Learn these Tips & Hacks to optimise your Gardening

Back in 1997, I was very fortunate to be introduced to Lean Thinking, a way of thinking about an activity in its whole system (Gardening here!), and seeing the waste inadvertently generated by the way it’s organised and its wider impact on the ecosystem.

I was young and not very wise then, and it took me quite a few years to make sense of it: it’s a way to sustain growth and quality in the shortest lead time, considering the whole system, with less collateral damage to the environment.

Wouldn’t it be just wonderful to have a systematic approach to growing more Vegs, while caring for our planet and its people?

Without taking any shortcuts (which have longer term consequences!). - ie chemical fertilisers from just a few big bad Corporates who don’t care about their impact on society and our planet!

I want to give you all the knowledge and technology you need to successfully grow more Vegs, in a way that’s good for you, and for our planet.

Built on the principles and practices I've learnt at the intersections of Lean Thinking, Permaculture and latest scientific research, I want to share how you can best grow more nutritious Vegs, organically!

  • So you don’t feel like giving up when you’re faced with insects attacks, plant diseases or even little weeds

  • So you don’t resort back to quick fixes with pesticides and other chemicals.

  • So you don’t worry about how you’ll water your garden when you go on holidays.

  • And save you trips to the local recycling centre, or pay for unnecessary green waste disposal!

Instead, I’ll show you how to make the most of the resources in your garden, without creating waste, and still producing enough food through the year.
